Our final 48 hours of Prague was filled with lots of 'ooh's' and "ah's" as we went to the Czech Museum of Musical instruments, the National Gallery, and ended up having dinner ad the Folklore Garden.
Originally, our group was supposed to go to the Museum of Musical instruments, however, it was close that day so a small group of us went the day before on our own time. It was so cool to see all the displays of instruments that we know today and the predecessors to these instruments and what they looked like.
The final day of Prague, we went to the National Gallery. All of the art was super cool. There was also a room that had a book and floor instructions on how to waltz which was really fun. One of the security guards even came in and tried to guide us on how to dance. (Women followed the orange tape and the men followed the white tape.)
On top of that, Right at the entrance was a giant swing.... and it was made for 3 people which definitely made my day.
At the end of the night we went to a group dinner at the Folklore Garden. We had the opportunity to listen to people perform traditional Czech music and dances. I twas really fun because they also asked for volunteers to go up and learn to dance. they even made a game out of it. Overall it was such a fun and great way to end our stay in this awesome city!
This is the class Blog for the 2018 Music Centers study away course at Pacific Lutheran University. We will be traveling to Vienna, Prague, Leipzig, Berlin, and Salzburg to study music.
